Volunteer at ReStore
The ReStore is a successful source of funding for Habitat for Humanity because individuals continue to generously give their time, energy and motivation.
We average about 200 hours per month in volunteer hours. Because of this we are able to keep our paid staff to a minimum and so dedicate as much revenue as possible back into building more homes. Our present goal is to bring volunteer hours to 400 per month. This will enable us to run the store much more effectively.
Volunteering with the ReStore is a great way to be a part of Habitat. You can come on your own, bring a business, church or community group, or the family. Many of the future Habitat homeowners work their sweat equity hours here so you can work with them and get to know them here.
The list on the right identifies the many different ways you can be involved. Find one that suits you and send us an email to let us know you’re interested.
Volunteers at ReStore must be at least 17 years of age and be able to work unsupervised.

Customer Service Assistant
Help us out up front to welcome, and assist customers with their purchases. Some positions are regular shifts.
Office Assistant
A great way to get involved at the store and not have to be out in the warehouse. We need folks to help with answering the phones and other office duties, regular availability required.
Truck Driver
Our truck drivers are all regular volunteer that do a weekly shift. We are occasionally looking for another to add to the team!Must be experienced with driving a large box truck, have a clean driving record, and a good strong back.
Pickup Assistants
These volunteers go out with the truck to help navigate, load and unload, and help the driver backup. You don't need special skills, just a willingness to help and a strong back.
Backup Drivers
Most of our drivers are regulars, but of course there are vacations, etc. So we need some folks to fill in sometimes. Must also be experienced with driving a small box truck, have a clean driving record, and a good strong back.
Stocking and Cleaning
Here's where we always need lots of help; for a half day, a whole day, a group, a regular thing, or a weekly shift. Every day stuff comes in, and it all needs to go somewhere so we can sell it.
